Very well done

Web 2.0 ... The Machine is Us/ing Us

Very well done, I like the music too of course. I don't think most of us realize just how much the Internet is going to change things, we've experienced it at stage one and now stage 2 "web 2.0" but but three and four and five should be quite interesting indeed. Will my job as a designer exists 20 years from now? Certainly it will be very different if it does.

Mixrozoft

I just noticed the other day that Microsoft seems to love the end of the alphabet, First they had Windows and Word (W) then have Xbox (X) and now Zune (Z) to top it off The newest version of windows is of course Vista (V) Now all they need are some new products starting with a U and Y to round out the end of the alphabet.

Morons

If this is true and Ford ends up making these, it's a good example of how out of touch Detroit is. It would be one thing if these monstrosities were all electric or at the very least hybrids, but I doubt they will be.

UPDATE:
looks like this is the result

Search for Soolar.

"By building the largest solar power system ever installed at a single corporate campus, Google will save more than $393,000 annually in energy costs — or close to $15 million over the 30-year lifespan of its solar system. At this rate, the system will pay for itself in approximately 7.5 years."

lunch today

I just walked past the Marine recruitment center on Flatbush today during lunch. As I glanced in the window I noticed a mannequin dressed in fatigues. It struck me as ironic however that the Mannequin was cut off at the neck. It was the type with no head. You would think someone would realize a beheaded mmannequin is not the best recruitment tool.

Food for War

I Found this at (GNN.TV)

"Everyone knows at this point that Halliburton (that is, big war) and big oil were the prime movers in instigating the war in Iraq through their man Cheney and their poodle, Bush. And, of course, Halliburton and the other war industries and Exxon and the other oil companies have been the only ones to profit from the Iraq war. They have not sent members of their own families to fight; they have suffered no bombings of their own plants or their own homes. They thought they had a fool-proof plan for profits, and indeed, they did. We, the taxpayers, have paid for their adventure with money and lives. They have not gotten the Iraqi oil (let's say plan A), but they have driven up prices and profits (plan B). The president of Exxon is the happiest old man in the world, I am sure."

"Jesus Camp"

--THIS VIDEO WAS TAKEN OFF OF YOUTUBE-- Too bad, it was great marketing for the distribution company that picked it up but i guess they're old school. It was only a preview! I still wanna see it though.
Jesus Camp:

Breeding for Holy War. A War on Warlocks. This is from a documentary that was at the tribeca film festival (I didn't see it) Hopefully it'll come out on DVD sometime.

"A growing number of Evangelical Christians believe there is a revival underway whereby young Christians must take up the leadership of the religious right. This film reveals a new phenomenon: an active movement to train young kids to become dedicated Christian soldiers in “God’s army.”

The film follows Levi, Rachael and Tory to the Kids on Fire summer camp in Devils Lake, North Dakota, where kids as young as 6 years-old are drilled in the importance of political activism and radical views. The film is a first-ever look into an intense training ground that recruits born-again Christian children to become an active part of America’s political future"
